Our client is a Sydney and Melbourne based managed and outsourced IT services business. They are looking for a Helpdesk Technician to join their vibrant team in their Sydney offices. You’ll be working alongside like-minded tech professionals, with plenty of scope to learn and develop within the role.
The candidate
Skills and experience:
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a managed services focused role
- A sound, basic understanding of IT and IT terminology, including all Windows Servers, Windows Desktop, Exchange and AD
- Possess a willingness to learn and co-operate as part of a team
- Have confidence working in a busy often hectic environment
- Excellent telephone manner is required along with friendly customer service skills
- A logical and pro-active approach to problem solving
- Good communication, literacy and organisational skills
- Punctual and willing to be flexible with your working arrangements
Responsibilities:
- Answering telephone and emails, analysing and dealing with incidents
- Logging all incidents via an automated ticketing system
- Support the IT Systems Manager with day to day IT issues and be responsible for providing technical support for clients
- Respond to user problems/requests, carry out repairs/fixes and escalate where necessary
- Troubleshoot any Network Connectivity issues
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the company
